Steve, the Golden Boy from Follyfoot

On the “Follyfoot Farm” from the TV series with the same name he is the most handsome and funniest person of the team; Steve Hodson who plays the orphan Steve.

To find out what he is like, in private BRAVO has visited him at his home in England.

“That I got the role of Steve in Follyfoot was the luckiest moment of my life” thinks 28 year old Steve Hodson, “it was a big turning point.”

Finally, after a long time, regular work with £200 a week and the acquaintanceship with lots of nice colleagues.

It did not always look that sunny for Steve.

In school Steve was a bit of a lout, as a result of which teachers found him difficult.

At 16 years old he left school.

The next three years he did all kinds of odd jobs like a builder, kitchen help, civil servant and second hand dealer.

This until a friend in London asked him why he didn't try to work as an actor.

Steve thought “Yes, why not?” and tried his luck at a London drama school.

He made it through the entrance examination.

“From then on it was done with the gypsy life I had and began with two, three years of working hard in different roles, speaking techniques and expression. “

After his final exams he found out how difficult it was to earn a living like an actor.

For a couple of years he worked in provincial theatres and had small parts on television.

But then out of the blue there was this part in Follyfoot.

Still thinking back lovingly over the film shoots Steve says; “30 months working in the fresh air, a lot of riding, meeting Gillian and to be able to work and live again in my birth town of Bradford in Yorkshire.”

Are there new plans?

“Right after finishing Follyfoot I worked on a TV comedy in Manchester and now I will wait patiently for a new part to come my way.
